The functionality of a mobile email programme is identical to that of a desktop or web email application. Most often, emails are organised into threads. To read specific messages, you can modify your email options. You may manage threads on iOS, Android, or Windows Mobile devices by following the instructions in this guide.
Threading emails on an iOS device
In the Apple iOS Mail app, there are numerous parameters that may be configured to manage email threading. Email threading is enabled by default.
Choose Mail under Settings.
Up till Threading on the page.
There are numerous possibilities:
Choose a Thread Threading in emails can be enabled or disabled with this parameter. To turn off threading, toggle off this setting. When the default setting is “on,” a green icon is shown.
Collapse Read: You can collapse texts you’ve already read using this.
Topmost Message Most Recent – Although it is disabled by default, this option looks like a great one to enable. The most recent message may not always be at the top of Mail. To find the most recent message, you will need to scroll through a few of them.
Finished threads: Despite coming from a different inbox, this setting groups emails into threads.
To activate, toggle any or all of the options on.
Gmail threading on Android devices for email
Gmail is now the default email client on Android Lollipop. Unlike the Android app for email, this does not. The conversation view, commonly referred to as email threading, can be enabled by default. If it isn’t, take these actions to make it so.
Click the three-line symbol in the Inbox when Gmail is open.
After your folders, scroll down and click Settings.
Choosing General Settings
Next to Conversation View, check the box.
Return to your email to view threaded emails.
Microsoft Windows Mobile devices can thread emails
On Windows phones and Windows mobile devices, email threading, sometimes referred to as the conversation view, is enabled by default. These options can be changed:
Tap Setting (the gear icon or three dots) in the bottom left of the Mail app once it has been launched.
In the context right pane, select Options.
You can toggle this feature on or off to display messages in conversational order.
You can change this setting for each email account you’ve set up in the Mail app.
email thread manners
Here are some pointers for participating in email threads, particularly when there are several people.
Be sure to stay on topic. Be sure to stay on topic.
Remove any extraneous images, such as advertisements or company logos. Remove extraneous photos from emails that are forwarded to avoid clogging recipients’ inboxes.
If someone’s name is mentioned, forward or copy them to a reply. Be careful because this might lead to a lot of misunderstanding and bad sentiments. You can decide if it is OK to copy someone if the email thread is private. However, adding someone to an ongoing topic usually means there is a fresh problem.
Send an email to existing recipients whenever a new user is added to a topic. Just as a courtesy, please let all recipients know who is taking part in the conversation.
Make sure to be specific with your remarks, particularly if they concern an email that was buried in the thread.
